Who Am I? Getting to Know Our Stories

Students share personal details about themselves, their families, and their local communities through a fun warm-up activity. They listen to each other's stories and begin thinking about what makes their own culture unique.

Duration: 60 minutes

Creating My Cultural Profile

Students write and illustrate a profile about themselves, their family traditions, favorite foods, celebrations, and local customs. They gather stories or images from home and organize them into a simple, personal profile to share with the partner class.

Exchange and First Impressions

Students receive profiles from the partner class and read or view them carefully. They note down similarities and differences they spot, and write or draw their first thoughts about what they learned about their new friends' lives and cultures.

Comparing Our Worlds

Students work in small groups to compare their own cultural profiles with those from the partner class. They create a simple chart or visual showing what they found in common and what was different, then discuss why these similarities and differences matter.
