They will share their favorite foods and one thing they would like to learn about their partners' meals.

Duration: 45 minutes
2

Create Lunch Cards and Write Questions

Students make simple cards showing their school lunch, favorite foods, meal times, and daily food customs in Japan, then write respectful questions they want to ask partner classes.

Exchange Cards and Build a Shared Comparison Chart

Students look at partner classes' lunch cards, answer each other's questions in a live video exchange, and add findings to a shared chart sorted into similarities and differences.

Duration: 120 minutes
4

Sort Findings and Reflect on Surprises

Students sort what they learned into similarities and differences, then talk about what surprised them most and how these differences help them understand other children's lives.
