Design and Draft the Journal Pages

Student teams plan and draw their own journal pages with cinema-style layouts, comic panels, and funny prompts about feelings. They decide together what each page should ask the reader to write, keeping every prompt kind and age-appropriate.

Duration: 120 minutes
3

Compare Ideas and Test the Prototype with the Partner Class

Teams compare their prompts with the partner class and sort them into fun, respectful, and age-appropriate ideas. They then share their prototype, collect kind and clear feedback, and use it to revise the pages.

Duration: 105 minutes
4

Final Booklet and Class-to-Class Sharing

Teams illustrate the revised journal pages and combine them into one shared class booklet. Each class presents the booklet, shares what they learned about feelings and growing up, and reflects on the experience.

Duration: 90 minutes
5

Write Prompts for All 12 Journal Pages

Student teams write one fun, respectful prompt for each of the 12 pages, checking that every prompt helps readers think about growing up and their feelings. Teams then swap prompts with the partner class to see which ones feel clear and age-appropriate.

Duration: 90 minutes
