Project Activities
Meet the Partner Class and Share Family Tree Symbols
Students meet their partner class by video call, learn a simple shared way to show family relationships, and introduce themselves with a few family facts.
Draw Our Three-Generation Family Tree
Students draw their family tree across three generations using relationship labels, symbols, and colours, then write a short note on one family tradition, celebration, or value passed down.
Exchange Family Stories with the Partner Class
Students share their family tree and one tradition with partner classmates through short recorded videos or pair exchanges, listen to theirs, and note what they have in common.
Build the Shared Family Tree Mural
Working together across both classes, students combine their drawings into one shared family tree mural that highlights common values and celebrates cultural differences.
Showcase Our Family Roots Together
Both classes present the shared mural by video call, students reflect on what they learned about their partners and themselves, and they celebrate the connections built.
