Project Activities
Multiplication Methods in My Class
Students explore and document the multiplication strategies, tricks, and teaching methods used in their own classroom. They interview classmates, observe lessons, and collect examples of how multiplication tables are taught and practiced locally.
Research and Prepare Local Strategies
Students organize their findings into a visual or written summary of their favorite multiplication methods and explain why these strategies work for them. They prepare short examples and explanations to share with the partner class.
Live Exchange: Sharing Multiplication Strategies
Students participate in a video call with the partner class to present their local multiplication approaches, ask questions, and learn how students in other countries learn times tables. They take notes on new strategies and discuss what makes each method unique.
Compare and Reflect on Global Approaches
Students create a comparison chart or visual showing the different multiplication methods they discovered from their own class and the partner class. They reflect on which strategies they found most interesting and why cultural or teaching differences might influence how students learn.
Showcase and Celebrate Learning
Students present their discoveries about multiplication methods around the world to the whole class or school. They share what they learned about their own culture's approach, what surprised them about other methods, and how working with international peers helped them understand multiplication differently.
