Project Activities

1

Kick-off video call and shared challenge mapping

Students meet their partner class on a live video call, introduce their communities, and brainstorm the youth issues that matter most to each side. Together they agree on a shared list of topics such as education, work, and climate.

Duration: 120 minutes
2

Build a shared research framework and gather local and global data

Teams agree on a common research template covering each issue, then collect local and global data on education, work, and climate for their own community and for the partner class context. They organize the findings in a shared document so both classes can use them.

Duration: 1,200 minutes
3

Compare findings and explore cultural and structural causes

Students analyze how youth challenges differ between their community and the partner class and discuss the cultural and structural reasons behind each difference. They hold a live video exchange to interpret findings together and test their explanations with the partner class.

Duration: 1,200 minutes
4

Evaluate proposed solutions for feasibility and impact

In mixed international teams, students list possible solutions for each youth challenge and rate them on feasibility and expected impact in both contexts. They justify which approaches seem most promising and record their reasoning on a simple comparison chart.

Duration: 1,080 minutes
Delivery: Comparative Chart
5

Joint presentation of findings and recommended solutions

Each team presents its research, the key differences between communities, and the solutions it considers most promising. Both classes give feedback and reflect together on what they learned about each other and the issues.

Duration: 240 minutes
Delivery: Slides Presentation
6

Live exchange: Youth challenges in our own words

In a live video call, pairs of students from both classes share one challenge they face and ask each other clarifying questions. Each pair then records the key differences they noticed to feed into the shared research framework.

Duration: 60 minutes
