Project Activities

1

Map Walk: What Do Our Drone Maps Show?

Students look at their drone-style maps together and spot signs of a shared local issue such as traffic, green space, or waste. They note what they see and share one question they want to explore with the partner class.

Duration: 25 minutes
2

Causes and Solutions: Live Exchange with the Partner Class

In a live video call, both classes use their maps as evidence to explain the causes of their chosen local issue. Students then compare their ideas for solutions and note where their local contexts make them different.

Duration: 75 minutes
3

Which Solutions Are Most Workable?

In small mixed groups, students rank the proposed solutions from both classes by how realistic they are for their community. They justify their ranking with evidence from the maps and the discussion.

Duration: 45 minutes
4

Our Top Solution: Share and Reflect

Each group presents its top workable solution and the reasons behind it to the partner class. Students close by reflecting on what they learned about their own community and the other one.

Duration: 35 minutes
