Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to identify and describe different accessibility needs and communication preferences of blind and sighted peers through analyzing the sensory materials and accessible features included in exchanged letters.
Students will be able to demonstrate inclusive communication by creating multi-sensory letters that incorporate Braille text, accessible QR/NaviLens codes with voice recordings, and tactile materials for exchange with international partner classrooms.
Students will be able to compare and contrast how different cultures and communities approach accessibility and inclusive communication by examining the letter contributions from peers across various global contexts.
Students will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of their accessible communication strategies in fostering mutual understanding and connection between blind and sighted students, and assess how this project contributes to promoting global citizenship and respect for human rights.
