Project Activities

What Makes Our Community Special?

Students share stories and images of their favorite local places, traditions, and daily routines. The class discusses what makes their community unique and creates a shared list of landmarks, celebrations, and ways people spend time together.

Duration: 40 minutes

Create Your Community Brochure or Poster

Working in small groups, students design illustrated brochures or digital posters showcasing their local landmarks, traditions, and everyday life. Groups focus on different aspects (landmarks, celebrations, daily activities) and include simple descriptions and drawings or photos.

Duration: 120 minutes

Exchange and Explore on Padlet

Students upload their brochures to Padlet and explore what their international partner class has created. They read, look at images, and begin noticing similarities and differences between the two communities in how people celebrate, work, and spend time.

Duration: 90 minutes

Live Video Chat with Partner Class

Students participate in a video call with their international partners to ask questions, share stories about their communities, and discuss what they found interesting or surprising. The teacher guides the conversation to highlight connections and differences.
