Project Activities

1

What Makes Our Place Special?

Students share one story, photo, or drawing about something meaningful in their community, then listen to a classmate's story and ask one curious question about it. This helps them notice what they already know about their own place and get ready to share with the partner class.

Duration: 8 minutes
2

Gather and Prepare Local Stories

Students collect one story, photo, or drawing about a cultural tradition, value, or special place in their community. They write or draw a short label explaining why it matters. This becomes the material they will share during the live video call with the partner class.

Duration: 15 minutes
Delivery: Storytelling
3

Live Exchange and Listening

During a scheduled video call with the partner class, students take turns sharing their story or image in small groups or pairs, listen carefully to their international peers, and ask at least one thoughtful question to understand what makes their community special. After the call, students draw or write one thing they learned about the other class's place.
