Project Activities

1

Meet the partner class and share a drama tradition

Students introduce themselves and each class shares a short example of a local story, gesture, or game. Students practice listening and asking respectful questions about each other's traditions.

Duration: 60 minutes
2

Research and prepare a local drama tradition

In small groups, students choose a drama tradition from their community and explain what emotions and values it expresses. They plan a short, low-tech scene that can be performed with simple props or none at all.

Duration: 180 minutes
3

Rehearse a collaborative scene with partner peers

Mixed groups from both classes plan and rehearse a brief shared scene using gestures, voice, and movement. Students give each other feedback and adjust their work to respect both cultural styles.

Duration: 150 minutes
4

Live video exchange: perform and compare theatre traditions

Each group performs its short scene during a live video call with the partner class. Students then discuss how each culture uses theatre to tell stories and express emotions, noting similarities and differences.

Duration: 120 minutes
5

Reflect on emotions, values, and intercultural learning

Students complete a short survey and a shared reflection forum about what they learned about the other culture and about their own emotional responses. They summarize key similarities and differences together.

Duration: 90 minutes
