Students research climate change impacts in their local community and analyze their partner school's context through shared documents, interviews, and data gathering. They create a comparative chart or infographic showing how climate challenges differ and overlap between the two regions.
Analyze Root Causes and Explore Solutions
Working in mixed international teams, students dig deeper into why climate challenges exist in each context, examining social, economic, and environmental factors. They research existing climate solutions from both regions and evaluate how cultural perspectives shape different approaches to the same problem.
Design and Prototype Your Climate Action Solution
Teams design an innovative, feasible climate action solution that addresses shared challenges and fits both communities' needs and resources. They create a prototype, campaign plan, or action document that shows how their solution works, who it involves, and why it will have real impact.
Test, Refine, and Get Feedback from Your Partner Class
Teams share their prototypes or action plans with their international partners through an asynchronous forum or brief video, receive structured feedback on feasibility and cultural fit, and make revisions based on peer input and SDG alignment.
Present Your Solution and Reflect on Global Collaboration
Students present their final climate action solution to their school and community, explaining the research, design choices, and potential impact. They reflect on how working with an international team shaped their thinking and what they learned about climate action across different cultures.
Disaster Deep-Dive: Causes and Consequences Poster
Students research a specific climate-related disaster from their region or partner school's area, create an illustrated poster showing what happened, why it occurred, and its impacts on communities.
