Project Activities

1

Meet your partner class and share family and friend traditions

Students introduce their families and friends, then share how they celebrate together, with the partner class over a video call. Mixed teams get to know each other and start noticing similarities and differences.

Duration: 45 minutes
2

Compare celebrations and design a shared Family and Friendship Day plan

In mixed international teams, students compare traditions from both countries, find shared values, and build a plan for a celebration that combines both. They sketch a simple prototype using recycled materials and write down how it brings families and friends together.

Duration: 200 minutes
3

Build, test, and refine the recycled-materials activity with partner feedback

Teams build their Family and Friendship Day activity from recycled materials, test it with classmates, and gather feedback from the partner class through a shared form. They use that feedback to improve the design and check how well it meets everyone's needs.

Duration: 75 minutes
4

Present the celebration plan to the partner class and reflect on the project

Each team presents its prototype and plan to the partner class, explaining the choices they made. Students then reflect together on what they learned about each other's traditions and teamwork.

Duration: 40 minutes
