Kick-off: Sharing Our Traditions with the Partner Class

Students introduce themselves and their own family traditions, then learn about Kosovar traditions and food through a short teacher-led picture tour. Pairs of students start noting questions they want to answer.

Duration: 45 minutes
2

Research and Compare: Our Traditions and Kosovar Traditions

In small groups, students research one Kosovar tradition or food and describe its meaning for families and the community. They compare it with a tradition from their own culture and note similarities and differences in a simple chart.

Build the Cultural Window Booklet

Teams create an illustrated booklet or paper display with drawings, short English captions, and a recipe or game to share. They send the finished booklet to the partner class and ask what they would add.

Duration: 120 minutes
4

Improve the Booklet and Share the Final Window

Teams read the partner class feedback, choose which suggestions to use, and improve their booklet. They then present the final cultural window to the partner class and reflect on what they learned about each other.

Partner Class Feedback Circle: Deciding What to Add

Students read the feedback their partner class sent about their booklet and sort the suggestions into 'add now' and 'maybe later' piles. Together they pick the two or three changes that would best strengthen their cultural window.
